My name is Tiffany Mikeal Darrell and I come from a family of Chefs. I studied Culinary Arts at Los Angeles Trade Technical College and earned an AA degree in Culinary Arts. I transferred to Cal Poly, Pomona and earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Restaurant management. I am certified through the ACF American Culinary Federation as a Certified Culinarian. I am Serv safe certified, Licensed and Insured Professional Caterer and Event Planner. I have catered for over 20 years and have worked for many different restaurants and under different chefs. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy where I earned a certificate at the Apicius Italian cooking and wine school. I am also certified as a level one Master Sommelier, which is a wine steward.
After Graduation at the Collins College, I worked for Red Lobster as the Service Manager and Beverage and Hospitality Manager for 4 years. In 2008 I wanted to pursue catering fulltime and I opened my first catering location in Covina. In 2012, Tiffany’s Catering became the first African American company to run university catering for The Claremont School of Theology where I ran all the food service needs of the entire campus as well as run the campus café. During that time I have taught Culinary Arts as an Adjunct Teacher at Harbor Community College as well as start the Culinary Program at Glen A. Wilson High School in Hacienda Heights.
As of Today I’m living my dream, February 24, 2014 I opened Tiffany’s Catering & Bakery at 2099 S. Atlantic Blvd. Monterey Park, CA. 91754. We are open 24/7 for any catering or events, my Chef opens my shop Monday –Thursday selling BBQ. Since the Pandemic we now offer Meals cooked and delivered to your home. We now also offer Micro- events and cater small events from Party of 2 -50 guests.
Personal note: I’m an adventurer and I love to travel the world. Last year 2019, I went to Europe for 30 days going to Greece, Italy, Paris & Spain! I have been to China, Eastern and Western Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Mexico and more. I always take the culture, food and music and people back with me and incorporate it into my cooking. You can always find me dancing on the dance floor and I love music. Huge fan of history, the arts and wine. These days I’m baking from scratch each week to keep my professional baking skills up. I have 2 cool cats Star and Charlie Cheddar. I sell Tacos at a local bar on Thursday’s and Friday’s During this Pandemic to help keep the bar open. I love to laugh and smile and mostly put a smile on other’s face making life very fulfilling and satisfying.
